Group: UK program has 'non-diverse perspective'

Six UK faculty members were singled out on a pamphlet that was distributed to legislative officials last week during the special session on pension reform in Frankfort. The Family Foundation, a conservative family-oriented group based out of Lexington, issued 130 handouts containing the names, pictures, biographies and salaries of six UK faculty members, a majority of whom are associated with the Gender and Women's Studies program.

UK alum ranks seventh in Olympic trials

A former UK triple jumper represented the university's athletic tradition at the 2008 Olympic Trials last Friday. UK alumnus Simidele Adeagbo competed and came in seventh in the women's triple jump competition, falling short of the top three contenders who will continue to Beijing in August.
